Cinnamon sticks are harvested from the inner bark of the tropical cinnamon tree. The stripped off bark naturally curl up into cinnamon quills as they dry.
Cinnamon sticks have a strong aroma and are spicy. Commonly used in curries, stews, desserts, mulled wine, and tea or coffee infusions. The sticks are hard and are frequently used as stir sticks.
