GardenScent WFN All Grain Best Energy Food (GS All-Grain Powder) is a complex-carbohydrate functional food that is appropriate for people of all ages.

This grain powder is made with a patented food technology process that extracts the unique nutritional value of each grain | seed and makes it more accessible to the body for easy digestion and maximum absorption.

Salient Nutrition & Health Benefits:

  • Nutrient-dense. Contains a high concentration of plant proteins, naturally occurring macro and micronutrients, and 18 different Amino Acids, all of which are essential to the body for growth, muscle formation, repair, maintenance, and proper function.
  • High in dietary fiber and contains a significant amount of oat beta-glucan. Oat beta-glucan, a soluble dietary fibre, aids in the reduction of cardiovascular disease and the management of blood sugar levels.
  • A complex-carbohydrate functional food that supports diabetes, cardiovascular health, brain health, and muscle retention. Carbohydrates are commonly thought to be undesirable and fatty, although they are the body’s preferred source of energy for performing daily activities, regulating digestion, metabolizing and oxidizing protein and fat.

There are two types of carbs: simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates. Both carbs will be digested into glucose and delivered to the bloodstream as a source of energy. The key difference between these two is their nutritional value and the time required to digest in the body system.

Simple carbs, also known as simple sugars, typically do not provide nutrients or fiber to the body (unless fortified). Examples of simple carbohydrates are white rice, table sugar, soft drinks, cookies, cakes and refined white bread. They are also easily digested and transported to the bloodstream for immediate energy replenishment, causing blood sugar levels to spike.

Complex carbs contain more nutrients and dietary fiber.  Because they take longer to digest and enter the body system, they create a longer feeling of fullness, aid in calorie control, and can deliver a gradual sustained flow of energy to the body without causing blood sugar to spike.

Simple carbs, but not complex carbs, should be avoided by people with type 2 diabetes and those trying to lose weight. Complex carbs are the primary source of energy for the body’s healthy function, and they help to regulate digestive health and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Brown rice, oats, quinoa, buckwheat, millet, chia seeds, and amaranth are all examples of complex carbs.

Complex carbohydrates are the body’s and brain’s preferred source of energy, and they are used by the body more efficiently than energy derived from protein and fat. These carbs provide a variety of health benefits such as support for diabetes, cardiovascular health, brain health, and muscle retention. Examples of complex carbohydrates include brown rice, basmati rice, oats, quinoa, buckwheat, millet, chia seeds, amaranth and chickpeas.

  • Because of its smooth mouthfeel, this grain powder beverage is suitable for people of all ages, especially the elderly or those who have swallowing difficulties. It gives the body energy and nutrition for maximum absorption.
  • It is convenient, versatile, and easy to incorporate into your daily diet. Simply add to water, milk, your favorite beverage, cold juices, or smoothies. It can also be used in pudding, baking, and soup recipes. It can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients (All Organic):
Oat Bran, Amaranth, Quinoa, Buckwheat, Millet & Chia Seeds

Suggestion of Use:
GS All-Grain Powder is highly soluble and mixes easily in hot or cold liquids. 2 to 3 tablespoons All-Grain Powder to 1 cup water, juices, almond milk, fresh milk, soy milk, or any other beverage of your choice, stir well, and enjoy. Adjust the viscosity of the All-Grain beverage by varying the amount of liquid used.

Note:
Some consumers, particularly those who have not been eating enough fiber on a daily basis, may experience tummy discomfort, gas, or bloating at first. This is because your stomach and digestive system are unable to process and cope with the sudden increase in fiber load. If you have any of these symptoms, start with 1 tablespoon and gradually increase your daily intake. This is to give your digestive system time to adjust to the increased fiber consumption.
